Vertical Blinds Mounting and Installation Guide
Mount Types: Vertical blinds can be mounted inside or outside the window frame. Inside mounted blinds fit within the frame, requiring a minimum depth of 2.4 inches. If your frame depth is less than 2.4 inches, outside mounting is recommended. Outside mounts are preferred when frame depth is insufficient.
Our window shades include all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside installations.
Inside Mount Measurement: 1. Measure the inside frame width at three points: top, middle, and bottom. - Use the smallest measurement and deduct 0.4 inches for the inside width. 2. Measure the height at three points: left, middle, and right sides. - Use the smallest measurement and deduct 0.4 inches for the inside height.
Outside Mount Measurement: 1. Measure the outside frame width and add 8 inches to determine the outside mount width. 2. For French windows, measure from 2.4 inches above the top frame to 0.4 inches above the ground. For windowsill windows, measure from 2.4 inches above the top frame to 4 inches below the bottom frame. Allow for overlap to ensure adequate coverage and light blocking.
